Haiku Friday for All!

It's that time again! I'm popping over to see "3:10 To Yuma," so this is going up a tad early. Here are this week's topics:

1) Interpretive Dance in PR
2) Baylor Law Troop Surge
3) Chicago as President
4) Britney at the VMAs
5) Car accidents
6) That one time I really shouldn't have done karaoke
7) Remembering Goose
8) Swanburg
9) Serr v. Osler
10) Football

Here is mine:

The Baylor Brochure--
No Bates or Osler photo,
A ban on bad hair!

Now, you go-- 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables

Comments:
3:10 to Yuma
Why does Alan Tudyk get
killed in all his films?

In his last Western,
impaled after saving day.
No more "leaf on wind"...

In "Yuma" he's killed
in quite a similar way.
Should avoid westerns!

(If you have no idea what I'm haikuing about, then go watch "Serenity". Heck, I might just let you borrow it.)

Biil, Spencer, Out of town.
I'm alone with spastic, wild
nutty licking dog.

Prof. Osler,

I don't have a haiku, but I do have an observation to make. The AUSA that I worked for this summer, Mr. Jim Middleton (father of Baylor Law grad. John Middleton), seems to be sprouting from behind your shoulder like Aphrodite sprung from the head of Zeus.

Will never forget
Last Dance at the PR Ball:
Stolen Wallet Jive

--Goose

It was Athena
Not Goddess Aphrodite
who sprung forth from Zeus

Botticelli, he
saw Aphrodite emerge
on her giant shell

Trevor - Man, come on
Serenity is Awesome
Even more than that

Your Haiku, Though, Sir
I Had Not seen 3:10 yet
Now it is for naught -

I will see it still
But next time, for everyone
Add *SPOILER ALERT*

He sacrificed
St. Pat's in Sacramento
For Reno Amy.

Sang like a drunk goat
They took my picture, (stupid)
See it on Facebook!

Crim Dell incident
Sounds spicy, that young Osler
But.... what's a Crim Dell?

Iplawguy,

Thanks for the correction. My apologies to Athena, Aphrodite, and Edith Hamilton.

Sorry Brian McKinney, but if you went to the movie, you'd have no doubt he was going to eventually die after the first 45 minutes of the movie.

Also, the movie's a remake of a 50 year old movie, where the character also dies.

Also, it's been out for over a week.

BUT, I'll throw up a spoiler alert next time, just in case.

Just had school photos
Everybody looks so good
When they're seventeen.

The girls do, that is--
The guys still need some work, like
Osler in Crim Dell.

(and it wasn't me there)

Fort Worth

home, practicing law
if you count Dallas, that is -
office still looks west

William and Mary
(Willyum = 2 syllables)
Campus has quaint pond, bridge, trees
Romantic Crim Dell

Singing "Feelings" is
a really bad idea if
not in own shower.

Feeeeeeelings! Wo Wo Wo--
Feeeeeeelings! Wo wo wo, feelings!
No I will throw up.

Crim Dell Flirtation
Not me, that day! Osler had
Crazy hair & beads.

Prosecutors spring
Out of Osler? Kinda true--
But all ADA's

3:10 to Yuma
Lots of good acting, cowboys
But you all look rough.

Osler bested me.
He is a Scrabulous champ.
Damn that "venerate".

We shall miss you, Goose.
Best RIO in the Navy.
Poor, Poor Maverick.

Dancing with CL
is always interpretive,
that man's got the moves!

Who is Mr.CL2 ?? or was that Jeffy typing too fast?

Brittney sadly less
embarrassing than your
practice court student

Dear Brit: Gimme more
clothes on your bod and less lip-
syncing. I beg of you.

Now six years later
Politics, pundits aside
We still remember

Oh Brit-Brit, you're done.
Train wrecks have more sex appeal.
Otherwise, the same.

A la dear Alan,
I would rather get impaled
than hear you again.

I direct questions
With alertness and calm tone
Then I yell a lot!

OJ, you are back!
Reinvigorate Osler
And his big matrix.

I hate practice court
I am not a fan of haiku
I do enjoy beer.

Well, I'm supposed to judge Tyd's movie star quote thing on her Boogie Ate Donut blog and I am woefully unqualified.

But by now, I know a good haiku when I see one!

I like anon 8:28 AM. Or the Feelings one.

Give them one of those Bates photos... if they care to identify themselves

"Sweeeet Caroline!" I sang
I thought it sounded perfect
video proved me wrong.
