The excitement is building for red-hot Supreme Court sentencing action!

Scotusblog is describing Kimbrough (the crack/powder case) as one of the two highest-profile cases in the Supreme Court's October term, and the excitement is building! (Of course, Scotusblog is also reporting that at the time Justice Souter joined the Court, he had never heard of Diet Coke). October 2, just a week and a half from now, the arguments will be made. I will be heading out a day early, and hopefully will get to participate in a moot of the argument.

Of course, it probably won't get much news coverage, between O.J.'s arrest and the Britney Spears VMA "fatness" debacle.

Comments:
I went to Scotusblog. It also said Justice Souter admitted (while at a wedding in 2003) that he didn't know who the Supremes were.

I guess that means he's spending more time reading cases, or something.

I kinda like that, actually.

Hopefully, he meant the singing group the Supremes, and he did, in fact, know about the Supreme Court.

I read that Scalia pays someone to tie his shoes and carry kleenex for him.

Ha ha . . . the Supremes. I just got the double entendre of that. Duh. Maybe Souter was just being funny.

OMG Ack! Britney looked like such a sow. If you are going to live on Twinkies, don't show up on stage almost nude!

A sow????? That girl weighs like 115!

Brithney is a very beaufiuful woman.

I think its hilarious that out of the whole Brittney debacle the only big thing is she looked chubby.

What about the fact she could barely move or sing?

I think we are all used to her not being able to sing.

Does it bug anyone else that everytime you put a comment on this blog it almost instantly is pushed out of view by a barrage of new Osler-posts?

Are you saying I should post less frequently? Hmmm.

Scrotusblog? What's that? Brittany went to Virginia Military Academy? She must have been very popular. What she was was out of shape. She and muscle tone are not friends anymore. Not that I really paid that much attention when she was seventeen either...
