Doh!

I left my laptop in the seatback pocket of the plane... oops. They are going to give it back to me, though. Until then, no more posting.

Comments:
now THAT is scary.... but I am sure they will get it back to you... THis is probably the first time this happened to you but the millionth time for them...

Osler are you turning into BILL???? I love him but my husband might be a teeny bit absent minded..... but he is not a professor.

Today you are the Absent Minded Professor.

You know, they specifically say NOT to do that on most flights.

Your seat was probably not upright and locked either

If Osler doesn't get his laptop back soon, maybe we should swap stories about our most embarrassing lost-property incident.

If we don't hear from the computer-less Prof, I suggest the following haiku topics for tomorrow:

-sentencing guidelines for crickets

-lost luggage

-Votes of confidence for Wormtongue

-Fort Wayne sports teams

I'm sure others could make better suggestions.

How about "Worst exam I ever wrote?"

(I've been grading papers all day, and the last three were BAAD. One guy so obviously hadn't studied the texts that he said, "I can't remember that character's name but I will call him Bill." I actually admired the kid for having the guts to go down in flames like that on an exam.)

Maybe we should all chip in and get him a new laptop? After all he is our fearless leader

Maybe haikus about lost laptops?

We can also guess what the French paid for this Blog.

In Paris, I'm told that the motto of the bureacracies seems to be "If it is not a holiday, then we are on strike." Maybe that's what happened to the Prof.

Good grief! Stranded in Salt Lake and no computer! How do they plan to reunite you with your loved one?

By the way, very good food the other night. Both Pilar and I really enjoyed ourselves.

Good luck with finding your computer.

Let's help Osler out with Haiku Friday. With IPLawGuy's help, here's a list for tomorrow:

1. Sentencing guidelines for crickets
2. Lost luggage--especially laptops
3. Votes of confidence for Wormtongue
4. Fort Wayne sports teams
5. Exams I should have never taken
6. Seeing the Great Salt Lake for the first time
7. When it thunders
8. Bald Brittany
9. Absent Minded Professors
10. Embarrasing moments with lost property

(Special thanks to Iplawguy, swissgirl, and Tydwbleach for ideas. Okay, Razor, hit it over the fence.

First College Exam
World History Midterm, Whoa!
Only one Question?

Intro Accounting
8 AM Class, rarely went
Gift grade of a D

Crickets chirp and jump
Punishment is swift, severe
Eaten by the Cat

Another early submission:

Drink to a lost friend
Please make mine a grasshopper
Just shaken, not stirred

My memory lapsed
A bitstream of consciousness
is lost like luggage

Deep in my mind’s eye
A fog blurs the location
Concealing my keys
