Haiku Friday, Version #234

Above is another photo from Lost Maples. And, yeah, that's Texas.

I would suggest that people write about either the beauty of nature or finals for Haiku friday-- but you are free to write about whatever you want. Just make it 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables.

For this week I have explored testing from the other side, as the one who receives the papers:

Thanks, 4-5-4-5
For your test in smear'd pencil
It looks like bad runes.

Comments:
Minutes past midnight,
Haiku finals bamboozle me,
Nature is sublime.

Stuff in the lobby
Please don't steal anything there
Homework not finished!

Oh so beautiful
crisp, clean, no tarnishing stain
a brand new blue book

Some-such gloomy gray
Beauty is in a good mood
A season passing

My final exam:
The filtered light of dusk,
The call of a bird.

I trust Dean Toben
He brings me snacks and soda!
Baylor is the best!

The Medievalist
Looks a lot like that one guy
Watergate burglar.

Law school is over,
I will try not to be sad.
Good-bye, Baylor Law!

Life after PC
The world seems a better place,
I almost miss Powell.

Cultures II:
Sitting in large group
Waiting for weekend to come
It's not fast enough

Dr. Larson speaks
Struggling to stay awake
Sleep comes too easy

It's time for the test
Larson's talk is the essay
Certain doom is near

Finals are over!
We'll relax for two whole days!
That's the Baylor way!

Why do 7-5-7?
What? You say I must obey?
Curse you, Haiku Man!

Loss, tears, surrender
Decision to let it be
yet the fire still tempts

Rats! lost my cover,
G. Gordon Liddy I am,
Rosenkavalier.

Swiss ubergoofball!
You left your fluffball at home
And lunched on cheese.

I stole Stefi's stuff!
The puffalumps cover up
A hole in my wall.

It is time to mate!
Finals are over, today
Drinkin' with Swanburg

Poor Baylor Lawyers....
So tired from final exams
yet still they Haiku

Wanted her, she said no
Her eyes said wait, I did not
Too late, she says yes

Not Gonna do it...
sell diving boards for CEEment
ponds, that is. No Way.

Guy droned on and on
about company, like Ben
Stein. "We sell fun." zzzzz

Remodel house now.
Work part time for Habiteers
25 hours/week

Pays well, fun job too.
Good balance of home, work, Spence.
Nerds growing on me.

Voice overs, writing,
make my own hours. Not So bad.
Job hunt is over.

Now time for house thing:
spendy countertops, tiles, paint
"What fresh hell is this?"

Looking forward to
house remodel. Here come the
whiskers and plaid guys.

Eyes close at office
Returned to lonely forest
Denali still calls

Cultures Four:
Lots of stuff to read
At least I don't have Larson
Sorry, those in Two.

Missing: Puffalumps
Please call me if you find them
They're my only friends!

FYI, klepto--
You got my name wrong, you poop!
It's Stef, not Stefi.

Poor profs, reading tests
My handwriting, not so good
The left-handed curse
