Drug Day in Crim Prac Got a Little Mayhemic...

I really can't describe it. Basically, I completely lost control of the class, which ended with a student standing up front waving my pen around and quoting from an open copy of William S. Burroughs' "Junkie."

And no, I'm not making that up.

Comments:
I believe it was "Junkie"

Junkie sounds right.

And on that note, anyone know where I can score some Scunge?

I told you I should have been guest lecturer on the evils of psychotropic drugs such as caffeine. That never would have happened if I had been there handing out the Mountain Dew. Oh well, you'll get'em next year.

On the plus side, no one brought props any more controversial than a book. No oregeno or ground aspirin. I thought of bringing some munchies in case anyone got a craving in the middle of class, but I decided against it. So it could have been even MORE mayhemic.

Thank you RG for that small courtesy. And I will fix that in the post-- it is "Junkie."

Did anybody brings brownies? I would have brought brownies. :)

Decades back, when my brother was in high school, pre-DARE, a police officer came in and passed around a plate of drug samples, so the kids would know what to watch out for. There were more joints on it when it got back than when it went out.

vitriolic diatribe--

That's me with no shirt. I regret my poor judgement that day.
