Those lost in the air
I have been reading various biographies of those who died in the airplane-helicopter crash near Washington National Airport. Such interesting stories, all of them, and such deep tragedy.
When I'm on a plane, I often do wonder who all these other people are all around me. Sometimes I will talk to the person next to me a bit, but other than that I don't know. At times, I will make up back stories for them, actually.
What I really would like is little pop-up bubbles that would explain who they are and where they are going-- it would make the trip so much more human!
But no, we only find out those stories in the wake of a tragedy. Perhaps it is time for me to be more outgoing....
