For my sermon this morning, the liturgical reading (Matthew 18:21-35) is about forgiveness-- right up my alley!
The Minister asked me if I had a hymn in mind to go with it. What I found was pretty shocking: though the hymnal is full of praise songs and seasonal pieces, there was almost nothing about forgiveness.
Which is odd! After all, it is a theme of Christ's teaching and right there in the middle of the Lord's Prayer. How could it be that we don't have songs about it?
Any thoughts on that?
