If you missed the Republican Response to the SOTU...

 ... it was a doozy, featuring Sen. Katie Britt of Alabama, the state that just keeps giving. And no, this isn't a parody-- it's her actual response. So many questions!
 
-- why is she in a kitchen?
-- does her shifting from cheerleader-ish happiness to tearful sadness in six seconds indicate a need to maybe seek some help?
-- is she like this all the time?

Stepford Wife initially came to mind. But with further reflection, a captains wife (think Serena) in "The Handmaid's Tale" complete with green dress (coincidence?). And then the kitchen, how appropriate as they want women barefoot, pregnant and in the home. It was creepy!

That was rich. A senator from ALABAMA, of all places, is worried about less freedom? That place is in the running for “Most Backward and Repressive State.”

At least this clip reminded me why I’m happy to be out of there.
