Haiku!
Oops! I forgot to take a look at the vegetable haikus from last week. And that would be a mistake! We shouldn't miss this gem from our favorite medievalist:
Sweet red tomatoes,
Grown in the back yard garden,
Dreaming of childhood.
Or Christine's hopeful words:
Orbs, of red, ruby
flesh plump, satiny and warm
ah...Kissed by the sun.
Or my dad's very-true words (about learned behavior):
Rutabaga, leeks
Brussels sprouts, arugula
turnips,peepers,chard
cauliflower, kale
parsnips,s callions, zucchini
eggplant, broccoli
cabbage were slipped
into delicious dishes
I guess I like them.
