Haiku Friday: Mountains

As someone who has spent his adult life in Detroit, Waco, and Minneapolis, I am no expert on mountains.  That makes them all the more fascinating to me, of course.  Let's haiku about them today… I will go first.

Peaks of Mount Clemens
Tower high over Detroit
Or so I dreamed.

Now it is your turn-- use five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third, and have some fun!

Comments:
In Connecticut
We just call a hill a hill,
We're not mountain folk.

Born in the summer
of my 27th year
Yosemite bliss

Snow fog-- grandpa's stadtli,
Ennenda ,slept flat. Morning
Sunrise: all mountains

With sled in hand
Little legs trudge through the snow
Mt. Vernier Hill

Texas is pretty,
but Utah's high desert peaks:
Now that is beauty!

Light pierces shadow,
Gazing down on dawn rising.
Eyes closed, mind's peak.

lunch at 5K feet
in valley in Big Bend Park
Texas not all flat!

Climbing Silver Cliff,
Realized the world was not flat,
Columbus knew this.

Chapin, Chiquita,
and Ypsilon, better known
as CC&Y.

Thump thump thump thump thump
heart song with the first view of
Mont Ventoux, Provence

CTL & Dad bravo!
