Haiku Friday: Seafood!

When I read this fascinating article about Lolo's Seafood Shack in Harlem, I knew what this week's topic should be: seafood.

At least once a week, I try to eat something good from the sea (or maybe a lake or river).  I love grilling fish-- though not this time of year-- and I'm a fan of shrimp, scallops, and... well, lots of stuff.  So haiku about what you love or hate, just do it!

Here is mine:

 Thick slab of salmon
Brushed with wine and butter,
Get in my belly!

Now it is your turn... just make it 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables, and have some fun!

Comments:
Long John Silver's, ho!
Where everything is fried
Even Diet Pepsi.

"Shrimp on Sunday!" That
was Daddy's demand. Divorce

Great sauce, but do not add any
Walnuts. Makes gray paste!

I kinda like gray paste. That's what got me through elementary school...

"Do you like seafood?"
Asked the kid at summer camp
When I told him yes

He opened his mouth
To show me his oatmeal-yuck!
"See? Food!" he garbled.

On Inisheer the white
Horse-drawn redwagon, driven
In soft Gaelic tongue

Took us to a pub
Where the chowder: scallops, mussels,
Cod sang from its bowl.

Months ending in 'r'
Oysters on the half shell - yum
dash of horseradish

O Lox,Lox,Lox,to

On a cream cheese pillow

I will fan you with
Fronds of delicate dill,then
Eat you,Bagel'd Dream!
