Alaska, New orleans, Boston, and Williamsburg; some of my places I enjoyed visiting. Although I have not been to New Orleans post Katrina.
Delacy:
Please make New Orleans one of your next vacations. Unless you venture into the 9th Ward, which became "the thing to do" for a while after the storm, you'll not have much evidence of the trouble. Tulane and Loyola got facelifts and a passel of money. there are new street car lines, all of the tourist and convention areas are better than ever. The city's economy is on the upswing, and there is a new-for us-optimism about the future of the city, including its governance, but not so much the public school system.
And, Mr. Osler, where will your "Christ Trial" be performed in New Orleans and in Baton rouge?

You talkin' 'bout " Hot Dot" of "Hot Dot and the Winged Monkeys?" She ain't call herself Dorothy since she back from Kansas, come out wit' Glenda, an' move to The Marigny. She ain't goin' nowhere, but come on down an' ax her yo' self.
CTL--- Er, well, uh... student groups at UCLA, Stanford, and Harvard invited me to speak there (the others are standing lectures/symposia). And.... well... no students from Penn asked me to speak there, even though I would definitely do that. So, if you know any students at Penn Law, try to talk them into it!
Yeah, I have heard that Penn Law students can be a little self-important, thinking that important speakers will just show up.
(more seriously, I'm going to make some calls. What student groups invited you at UCLA, HLS and SLS?)

UCLA, Stanford, and Harvard are all for chapters of the American Constitution Society-- the students saw my panel talk in DC back in June, I guess. Intriguingly, last time I spoke at Harvard on this topic, I was invited by the Federalist Society. That's good, I think....
