Dad!
This is one of my favorite haikus ever-- thanks, Dad:
My mother had a
Fear of inanimate objects
I did not listen
Cars break down at the
Farthest distance from our home
And I do not learn
Computers crash only
On unsaved stuff that is good
And I try again
Pens only leak when
They are stored in your good clothes
And when you arrive
I no longer fear
Inanimate objects, I fear
I have become one.
On a biographical note, I would just affirm the part about the cars and computers and pens...

Dad reveals what a painter with words he is. I loved this haiku too. It is about my struggle.Congratulations,Dad! Your painting fills me with sunshine and hope as I sit and drink my morning coffee with Romeo the dog on the impossibly red sofa.
I think we should make Dad "President" through a bloodless coup de grace. Dad would have things straightened out NOW.I am sick of Sisyphean Senates. Or houses for that matter.
