Haiku Friday: Goofus and Gallant

Can we please haiku about Goofus and Gallant this week? I know-- I'm a little obsessed.

Here is mine:

Goofus-- I get him.
"I've got to go talk to some
Guys about some stuff."

[This said as he runs past his mother holding a rumpled paper bag]

Now it is your turn... 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables. Your prize? Your bio in this space on Monday!!!!!

    That tilt of the head-
    A mom, so exhausted that
    She just lets him go.

    Some questions:
    1. Why is Gallant on the elevator by himself?

    2. What kind of parent names their child "Goofus?" I can imagine the conversation...

Mom: Dave, Goofus was running on the escalator today, and he smells like marijuana.

Dad (rubbing head): I wanted to name him Steve, but oh no, you had to go and honor your Uncle Goofus...

I also wonder if Louisville is headed to the Big 12, as I have heard.

    Perhaps Goofus is
    Just a doofus. Perhaps Gallant
    Is just a yes-man.
