Poetry Cavalcade 28: Atlanta

There was this still moment
I see my Dad painting
A moment in time
That's truer than true.

Of course it's Atlanta
Because place, it does matter
The figure leans forward,
Another responds.

Nature, as written:
An aspen leaf falls
The shape of a seal
The figure leans forward
The ghost enters in.

  1. I really like this one. Yes, place matters. It's essential to good poetry.

I want to see that painting! Was your dad working on it at Osler Island?
