Haiku Friday: Dogs

Dee Dee's summer intern, CTL, notified me this week of the alarming phenomena of "Panda Dogs"-- dogs which are painted to look like pandas.

I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. I like pandas, after all. Hmmm.

Anyways, let's haiku about dogs today. It can be a dog you own or owned, or maybe just about the dog days of summer.

Here is mine:

Our faithful trash-hound
Scourge of the neighborhood, but
Always fun to watch.

Now it is your turn. There will be the regular prize-- the winner will be profiled on Monday! Just make it more or less 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables, and it is all good...

Comments:
Georgia Bulldog fans
bark. They sit and bark, loudly.
"Go Dawgs! Wowf! Wowf!" Wow.

My Westie is brave.
She thinks birds must leave her yard.
Dog, running a fowl.

"Bulldog! Bulldog! Bow,
wow, wow, Eli Yale! Bulldog!
Bulldog! Bow, wow, wow . . ."

Yellow Labrador
Thinks water bowl is a meal
But won't go swimming

Westminster Dog Show
Full of pomp and circumstance
I saw an old friend

All prance and puff,they
Size up the trixies to choose
her to scratch itch. Dogs?!

He snores in bed,so
Does she.Orbits her like moon,
Hogs bed. Canine love.

Everything looks good.
Tennis balls,salad,panties,
Omniv'rous mammal.

our chow-chow, Sadie,
shedding tumbleweeds for all
she smiles at her gift

She may not be smart
But her head tilts steal my heart
Pumpkin-nators

Cairn terrier
Misty was her name. Beloved?
No. Endless yipping.

Allergic to grass.
Needed steroids, trips to vet.
Step-monster LOVED her.

Carter, the bad dog
If even he can be love'd
We all can have hope.

"Pleeeeease can we get one?"
Big responsibility:
You aren't ready yet.

P.S. The word "pleeeeeeeease" is still one syllable, just drawn out. ;)

He licks away tears
He listens to my sorrows
He makes me feel loved.

We don't have a dog
We have two insane cats though
And one will play fetch

(The following must be read in one of those hyper-bass movie trailer voices)

In a world where no
Shoe is safe, one dog stands for
Justice: G. Retriever.

Northern Exposure
The moose appeared on the screen
Foster followed him

Sam I Am, he was.
Taught us the meaning of love.
Good dog, Sam I Am.

Sam...I'm voting for you...great Haiku! Sorry, judges...
