Oklahoma Pictures, Part 2 (Light and Death and Life)

The first picture is my favorite. The grey represents to me the sorrow that will never leave,that needs be to define a soulful existence. It seeks to be oppressive,and it contains the tears and the memories of those special creatures of God who can be no more with us on earth,but only their shadows. The open door filled with light is a portal to hope,the hope of a better world filled to bountiful with the endless love of God. This door is the only heart's-ease for our sorrow,that, and active love and effort to preclude this happening again.
I love the play of light and shadows in all of them. The fist is my favorite because of the way you captured the ray of sun shining through, the essence of this memorial, in my opinion. I thought the second one was my least favorite because it looks murky, but on second look I like the way grass and concrete show through the chair backs, that same duality playing not in light but in actual matter. I guess I could elaborate on the presence of people and the shadows they cast...but then I'd end up like one of those people I roll my eyes at, when I eavesdrop at the museum :)
My favorite: the fourth. The boy walks alone in the glow of golden light reflected in water. You can feel the weight of what he has just seen on his shoulders; he is pondering.
