Words that make me uncomfortable

Why aspic?
For some reason, it is not specific words that make my skin crawl, but the [i] phoneme where it appears at the end of a word following a double-consonant, like "gully" or "dinghy." Yech.
Also, words that have to do with gross deformity, like "squamous," "gibbous," or "cystic."
Oh, and mathematical terms, like "scalene."

The term "American people" is so overused by policians (both sides of the aisle!) and it makes my skin crawl. It is redundant (similar to tuna fish) in this context - I doubt anyone would think that if only "people" was used that the speaker meant Dutch people.

Reiterate is a word I dislike
de-icing, liver and Aspic would be uncomforatble words.

Enervate
There's a French word, "colocation" . . .ugh . . . and someone who does that is a "colocataire" . . . ugghhh
(it just means to be a roommate)
Masticcate . . . kinda sounds like Matriculate

Swissgirl, I did my bachelor's degree in french and my least favorite french word to say/spell is "chirurgie".
hmmm, let's see... straight off the top of my head?

i will say, however, that oral ad. is on the short list of my favorite words.
