Political Mayhem Thanksgiving
As a regular feature here at the Razor, every Thursday we complain about some political idea, and then about one another. Let's do something different today, Thanksgiving.
What are you thankful for, about our country or the people who post here?
I will go first:
This is an amazing country. I love the fearlessness of Americans, and that this is what brings us so often to our best moments.
As for those who post here-- I love the risks people take to say what they think, and the things I have learned from those who have taken that risk. Thank you.

I am thankful for the honesty I've found in my fellow local government workers. So many folks complain about corruption and ineptitude in government, but I feel that much of the time those complaints aren't based on facts, at least at a more local level. In my 9 months at the DAs office I've been exposed to nearly every aspect of county government, and I'm happy to say that, on the whole, my county has trustworthy, honest, hardworking folks at the rudder.
I am thankful for religious freedom. The vast majority of my ancestors came to the United States because they wanted to worship God in their own way. From Richard Warren on the Mayflower, to Puritans, to Mennonites, to Mormons, I am thankful for the legacy they left for me.
I love Texas because everyone has taken me in and gone out of the way to make me feel at home.

P.S. I have to say that it is very impressive that people who always disagree with one another on here never let it become personal or disrespectful.

I AM THANKFUL FOR THE UNITED STATES AND ALL THAT IT REPRESENTS, INCLUDING THE THIRD AMENDMENT, WHICH HAS BEEN PERSONALLY IMPORTANT TO ME THIS YEAR, DESPITE THE EFFORTS OF "PRESIDENT" OBAMA TO NULLIFY MY THIRD AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
AND ALSO FOR GIBLETS.
AND ALSO FOR GIBLETS.
I'm thankful to the duck that graced our table today. It was much tastier than turkey. The turkey is thankful that we served duck.
I AM ALSO THANKFUL THAT WE, IN AMERICA, HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE, FREEDOM, AND GUNS (ESPECIALLY GUNS).
I AM ALSO THANKFUL THAT THE GOOD PEOPLE AT FOX NEWS ARE REVEALING THE TRUTH OF THAT NO-GOOD KENYAN HIPPIE MUSLIM BABYKILLER TERRORISTIC EVIL NAZI SOCIALIST SATANIST ANTI-GOD ANTI-USA ANTICHRIST WHO, AS WE ALL KNOW, IS AS WE SPEAK LEGALLY CLASSIFYING THE FIRST, SECOND, FIFTH AND TENTH AMENDMENTS AS "TYPOS".
LASTLY, I AM THANKFUL FOR LANE. HE IS THE NICEST FILTHY SOCIALIST ANTICHRIST THAT I KNOW.

I'm thankful for everyone on here,
because as goofy as it sounds, this
website provides me with a lot of
fun on a daily basis. And I'm
especially thankful for Osler for
giving us a space to have all the fun
and for keeping my favorite internet
blog going. And I'm thankful to
hippies to giving me a place to focus
my hate.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

I'm thankful for such a wonderful, varied country that somehow manages to hold together.
And I'm grateful to this blog for a place to talk about serious things and silly things. Hearing so many people's ideas has taught me to slow down and listen more carefully.

I am thankful to live in a country where my religion, sex, and racial heritage in no way limits my potential.
I am thankful to live in a country where, though my family wasn't always recognized by our government, we were allowed to exist.
