Poetry Cavalcade 2009: Poem 18
The Fall
I watch one red leaf
(light as a pencil)
Take October flight
Down, down, down, down
Light in the air
Each vein calm receding
Even in flight
Each death is our own.
Rants, mumbling, repressed memories, recipes, and haiku from a professor at the University of St. Thomas Law School.
