Dorks and Newspapers


Am I the only one that looked at the big picture on the front page of the New York Times today and thought that maybe Thailand was being attacked by AT-AT Walkers from the ice planet of Hoth? [You can click on the paper to make the AT-AT Walkers larger]

No Hoth is like northern Minnesota. The bugs are swatted by people crazy enough to spend time near it's lakes during the summer months.

As for the NYTimes - on Tuesday's they have a 'science' section. I forgot to check if this was an intro photo.

As long as Dak is in the back seat of a snowspeeder, the Thai common man should not fear the ominous AT-AT. Oh wait, the AT-AT crushed Dak. Dangit.

The AT-ATs weren't /from/ Hoth, they just got sent there. But yes, it also looks like they got sent to Thailand. Aim for the legs.
