I'm a tired Panda...

Man, 56 comments on the post two down, and many of them well written. I have a lot of synopsizing to do tomorrow. But it has been quite a a day. The fall quarter is always hard. Here was my schedule for today:

8:15- Arrive at Baylor
8:15-8:45: Sort through email, check blog, etc.
8:45-11:45: Prepare for class (it is the first time I am teaching it, so it takes a lot of prep)
11:45-1:10 pm: Teach PR, talk to students
1:10-2:00: Dash over to Penland, eat lunch
2:00-6:20: PC minitrial
6:20-6:45: Meet with my faculty buddy, go to Harrington House, find that our dinner meeting has concluded, return
6:45-8:15: Home for dinner
8:15-10:00: Back to school for mock trial team practice
10:00-11:00: Meet with GED3 to talk about our mock trial team (albeit, this was at George's)

Now I'm home, and it is 11:57. Totals for the day:

Face time with students: 7.5 hours
Other work: 4.5 hours
Total: 12 hours

This is more than most days, but not the busiest day of the year for me, either.

Comments:
We sure do. Thank you for all you do and remember to take care of yourself!

It won't be like that today. And, even at that, it isn't the same as the hours PC students put in, and I know that.

And they don't do any of their work at George's, I'm guessing.

And that Waco traffic can be a real time-sucker

Ha ha IP. I gloat in your general direction re traffic.

Hey, that's how it is in the real world.

Yeah, sorry about the 4.5 hour minitrial
We do appreciate all your comments and suggestions and criticism- we know you probably have things you would rather do than watch a painful direct or awkward closing, but you, and the other profs, always put in the effort to go through everything with us

my schedule yesterday:
6:45 Arrive at Baylor
7:50-9:45 PC1
9:45-9:50 bathroom break
10:00-10:35 PC2
10:35-10:40 bathroom break
10:45-1:00 PR
1:00-1:50 lunch
2:00-6:45 jury in minitrial
6:45-7:10 dinner
7:10-1:00 read mounds and mounds of cases and never finish
6:00 get up and start it all over again

You're getting bathroom breaks!?!?! Well, we're going to have to address that lapse in our scheduling...

not only that, he/she is eating! Meals should be taken WHILE studying. What kind of law school are you running down there?

bathroom breaks are for the weak. just like reading days.

i see a lot of 3Ls carrying around empty coke bottles for that purpose.

NOW THATS the ultimate baylor law mascot. A 3L peeing into an empty coke bottle, not even lifting his eyes from the page his is reading. So deep in concentration he is only partially aware what he is doing.
