One of the best things in my life is the relationship with my brother and sister, who constantly inspire me. We're different from each other, but that's part of what makes it good. Let's haiku about siblings this week-- here, I'll go first:
I may be oldest
But no way am I the best
Those two amaze me.

In our forties and
fifties, we traveled and laughed
and talked and talked more.
In our sixties, we
did more of the same. Why stop
when you’re having fun?
My sister Pam is
now seventy-one and has
that thief dementia.
She forgets and she
hallucinates. Frustrated,
she screams and curses.
But she is still my
sister Pam. I still see her
sometimes in her eyes.
