PMT: Kenosha
If you have only been watching the RNC, you might not have been following the events in Kenosha, Wisconsin this week. To recap:
-- On Sunday, a black man named Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back by police as he got into his car as police pursued him. At the time, his three children were sitting in the car. The police now claim that he had a knife at some point in the confrontation.
-- On Monday and Tuesday, protests were conducted in Kenosha and other cities.
-- As has been happening all too often, protesters have drawn a response from armed vigilantes. One of those was a 17-year-old "police enthusiast" brought an assault rifle to the protests and shot three peaceful protesters. Two of them died. The alleged shooter is pictured (circled) in the photo above.
-- That shooter, Kyle Rittenhouse, walked right past the police, with his gun, after the shooting! Which is quite a contrast to Blake, who was killed because he got into his car rather than obeying the police. If you don't believe in white privilege, this might change your mind:

Kyle Rittenhouse: So aside from killing 2 and injuring a 3rd in Kenosha this 17 year old was carrying a firearm illegally as an Illinois resident and carried and used this firm arm across state lines.
"The minimum age requirement to purchase a firearm in the state of Illinois is eighteen.
As mentioned before, a permit must be obtained before a purchase can be carried out. The Firearms Owner’s Identification Card also acts as a firearm license for the owners, which is required under Illinois statutes. The application for the FOID is made to the Illinois State Police and the application can be obtained via the internet or by calling the Firearm Owners Identification Program directly. Certain requirements must be met in order to be considered eligible for a FOID:
Be over the age of 21
For those under the age of 21, and least 18 years of age, a written letter of consent signed by the parent or guardian is to be furnished at the time the application is submitted."
I also have no idea what he was protecting as he was running in the middle of a street and not standing guard of a business.

Mr. Jacob Blake: if he lives, will probably spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair and also have an 'Ostomy' (poop) bag as they removed most of his colon and likely a cath bag. The citizens of Kenosha will be paying this man and his family dearly for many, many years.
I have yet to hear a good explanation of what Mr. Blake did. The knife was apparently on the floor of his car, which he was not in, and he supposedly told the police there was a knife in his car.
Why do police shoot to kill? Want to stop someone with a bullet shoot them in the leg.
It appears police officers need to learn how to "DE-ESCALATE" situations. This is not a battlefield it is a city street. Police departments don't need to be defunded they need to be retrained and monitored.
Do you think a man who has his three young boys in his car is looking to confront and fight with police?
Just another incident in America that will be hijacked and twisted by all sides. I am filled with a very deep sadness.

Jacob Blake when questioned honestly told the interrogators that he did have a weapon in his car, a knife hidden under the car's floorboard was found by officials. When he was shot he was unarmed and his murderers may not have known that the knife existed. If he were white and was walking with a loaded long gun the police would have opened the door for him. This is an open carry state but not a hidden knife state. America is in a sorry state. The 2nd amendment was not created to allow white men with guns to murder black people. Maybe it was, maybe we need a change.
What is most worrisome is that the info that the victim owned a knife has been made public but we have learned nothing about his killers. The old William Barr trick of selective information to sow doubt.
