Haiku Friday: Please leave a message
A few weeks ago, I was racing to the train station in Philadelphia, but just had to stop to take a picture of this business. Really? "Patty's Answering Service?" While it does exist, I'm a little baffled that anyone would still use a phone answering service.
I am intrigued, though. What if you could leave a message to anyone, dead or alive, known or unknown, even lost to you though still in this world?
Let's have that be our haiku goal today. Don't worry about how many syllables this week- just make it three short lines, with the first line of "My message to X:"
Here is mine:
My message to X:
I still think of you
When e're I do right.
Now, it is your turn...

My message to X:
After new adventures in
Hi-fi, break up. Please.
My message to X:
Don't date Yoko. Stay in the
band. Stop white album.
My message to X:
the kid sees dead people, and
you're one of them guy.
My message to X:
No Wade Phillips. Save us all
the pain and anger.

My message to X (in this case, Osler)
What have you been eating for breakfast?
Your blog has been awesome lately!
Really. I'm loving the variety: funny (Clippy videos), silly (IPLaw videos), full of energy (yesterday's debate) and meaningful ( today! we all carry around undelivered messages).

My message to X:
You blessed me by trusting me
four wonderful years.
My explanation to Y and Z:
I remember meeting a teacher at my high school’s first football game. She was befuddled by the SLR camera around her neck. I offered to help and watched the action from the sidelines, a fun beginning to four years as a yearbook photographer. Her name was Mrs. Whicker, and she died last night.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

My message to X:
You are sort of cool, plus you
excel at physics.
My message to X:
There are few things better than
Shrimp pesto pizza
My message to X:
Only good thing 'bout auto-tune:
Build a turtle fence!
