The last morning
Today is the day I leave Waco-- get in my car, turn the key, get on I-35 North and stay on it for 1100 miles.
Before leaving, though, I'm getting the chance to talk about the Fair Sentencing Act. This morning I'll discuss it with KWBU-FM's Derek Smith (that will air tomorrow), and yesterday I said good-by to both Julie Hays (whose video I couldn't get to embed) and Eli Ross:

I know exactly what this feels like, from the day when I left my district court clerkship in Tulsa for my circuit clerkship in Houston.
We had court that day, so I was there until the judge left, and I carried his briefcase to his car, just like I always did.
Then, I walked back upstairs, cried with the secretary, walked to my fully-loaded Honda Civic, and drove straight back to Texas.
Godspeed. You've inspired a lot of people. We HATE to lose you, but we wish you the best.

You will be Missed in Waco! Good Luck in your new home! I cannot wait to read about your impressions!!!! Seriously you are just AWESOME but you already know that.
