I didn't know David Corbett was from Detroit... (or that his wife was from Jasper)

After going AWOL for a while, former BLSer David Corbett is back on-line with his blog. As previously noted, David is working as a public defender in Arizona.
You wouldn't know it from the picture on his blog (which I have copied here-- apparently, it was taken at a Detroit/Jasper costume party), but David was on one of my unusually photogenic mock trial teams.

If you look at his mouth, you'll see why my husband wants to practice as a dentist in Jasper so bad...heehee.
Prof. Osler, if you are going to keep trash-talking J-town, we might have to get you down to visit. We'll lend you a pearl snap so you don't feel out of place.

What makes you think I don't have one already? Well... uh, no, I don't have one. Can I go to the rodeo?
Yes you can go to the rodeo - in fact, Josh's family has box seats (don't act like you're not impressed) this year. Pootie can even participate in the "lamb tackle" (I forget the real word for it, but that's essentially what it is).
A pearl snap is not anything nasty, it is just a thin shirt that closes with a snap that looks like a flat round pearl. It's good for rednecks because it's thin and good for working but it's just a little fancy.
