Good Friday I

Comments:
No haiku today.
The temple's curtain is torn.
Roman soldier weeps.

spear pierces His side
Water and blood flow, mingled.
Dead. But not for long.

The V.R.

Why's everybody
Talking about no haiku.
In haiku, figures.

A dark pall settles
The earthquake subsides at last
Pensive women wait.

The cruelty in us
Makes the day so painful
Redeem us, Savior.

Good Friday confuses
We know that He will return
Wish I understood

The following is one of my favorite quotes about Jesus Christ. This was from an interview for the PBS Frontline documentary, "From Jesus to Christ:"

"History isn't made to record the deeds of a person like Jesus. Jesus is very much like most people, statistically speaking, who have ever existed in the world: poor, obscure, no pretensions to royalty or distinction of any kind. They live under less than desirable conditions and they die that way. There is nothing historically remarkable about that. Billions of people pass through this veil of tears in exactly that way."

-Assoc. Prof. ALLEN CALLAHAN, Harvard Divinity School

What makes a Christian?
Shouting "Praise Jesus" loudest?Action is the way

Wish you a Peaceful Easter!
We love everyone.

Osler I do not get these pictures. But they are nice, though.

Tyd, glad you're back. We missed you!

Well I was not really gone really, just that my internet connection died for a couple of days. How have you all been? Osler has cancelled Haiku Friday, because it is Good Friday. SO maybe we should dicuss my absence later. Besides I have to go read "No Mail For MItchell" to SPencer now.

Thank goodness you're back Tyd!!! I was panicked that Osler had offended you. Don't leave us...EVER!!! Razor Readers Need You!!!!

I do not get offended THAT easily. Seriously.... I married a musician. WE regularly have weird musicians LIVING at our house.. crazy ones... I mean REALLLLY crazy ones.

Well not since Spencer... but we used to.

Lovely, painful, evocative images . . . I couldn't think of anything to say.
